The business operates a dynamic portfolio of serviced offices, coworking environments and managed workspace solutions, partnering with landlords and enterprise clients to deliver flexible, high-quality space.
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering accurate financial and regulatory reporting across a portfolio of operating entities and workspace locations globally. The role provides timely financial insight to operational teams, including regional directors and commercial managers, while supporting reporting obligations to investors and lenders. A core focus will be ensuring high-quality monthly accounting, strong financial controls, and effective collaboration with in-country finance teams and external advisors to maintain best-in-class reporting standards within a PE-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record revenue streams including memberships, serviced offices, meeting rooms, and ancillary income, ensuring alignment with occupancy, pricing and contractual terms.
- Manage and maintain balance sheets across multiple legal entities, ensuring full reconciliations and robust cash control.
- Deliver high-quality monthly management accounts within tight reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to the monthly financial control framework to maintain a strong control environment across international operations.
- Support statutory reporting and audits across relevant jurisdictions.
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to monitor performance against budget, occupancy targets and business plans.
- Prepare quarterly VAT (and equivalent indirect tax) returns where applicable.
- Complete monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist in monitoring cash flow and supporting working capital management.
- Provide financial input on new site openings, restructurings, or contract negotiations.
Reporting
- Produce monthly and quarterly performance reporting for internal leadership and private equity stakeholders.
- Present financial performance and forecasts to senior management where required.
- Support investor reporting, board packs and lender covenant reporting.
- Deliver accurate ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with FP&A to align accounting outputs with forecasting models.
Improvement & Transformation
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, systems and processes, particularly across multi-site and multi-currency operations.
- Support the implementation of scalable finance systems to underpin global growth.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, driving automation, data quality and improved analytics capability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong academic background.
- Strong financial accounting and financial controls background, ideally within a multi-site, real estate, hospitality or flexible workspace environment.
- Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth business is advantageous.
- Demonstrable financial analysis capability and commercial awareness.
- Experience operating across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships across international teams.
- Confident communication of financial principles to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing capability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
