An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chartered Residential Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS Registered Valuer) to join a long-established and highly respected national surveying practice in a genuine partner-level capacity.

This is not a traditional employed corporate surveying role focused purely on churn, volume and KPIs. Instead, this opportunity offers the chance to build, grow, and help lead an established regional business with significant autonomy, long-term earning potential, and a genuine route into equity, profit share and future business ownership.

The business has an outstanding reputation built over decades through repeat business, professional relationships, and high-quality service delivery across valuation and surveying. Due to increasing instruction levels, the firm is now looking to appoint an experienced surveyor who wants more than simply “a job”, but someone commercially minded who is excited by the opportunity to develop a regional patch and directly benefit from its success over the long term.

The culture is collaborative, relationship-driven, and refreshingly non-corporate. The wider regional team works closely together to support workload sharing, technical advice, and business development, creating a highly supportive but autonomous working environment. Unlike many volume-driven corporate firms, the emphasis here is on professional quality and sustainable long-term growth.

The Opportunity

The successful individual will effectively take ownership of the Swindon region, supported by an established network of experienced neighbouring practices and an extensive existing lender panel. For the right person, there is genuine opportunity to progress into a long-term equity position with dividend/profit share potential within the wider business. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious surveyor to combine the security and reputation of an established national firm with the autonomy and upside typically associated with running your own practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake a varied workload including:

  • Residential mortgage valuations
  • Red Book valuations
  • HMO and specialist valuations
  • Level 2 Surveys
  • Private client valuation work
  • Relationship development with local agents, brokers, solicitors and professional contacts
  • Supporting the continued growth of the regional business

The role is home-based with significant flexibility and autonomy.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants will have:

  • MRICS or FRICS qualification
  • RICS Registered Valuer status
  • Residential valuation experience
  • Commercial awareness and relationship-building ability
  • Strong technical reporting standards
  • Experience within HMOs or specialist lending work would be advantageous.

Most importantly, the business is looking for someone entrepreneurial in mindset who is excited by the opportunity to build something long-term rather than simply remain within a traditional employed structure.

What’s On Offer

  • Genuine partner/equity opportunity
  • Profit share/dividend potential
  • Significant earning potential
  • Established workflow and lender panel
  • Long-term regional growth opportunity
  • Home-based flexibility
  • High levels of autonomy
  • Supportive and experienced regional network
  • Career-defining long-term opportunity within a highly respected firm
