We are working with a consultancy specialising in helping companies understand and analyse market opportunities within the leisure and tourism industry. There is a strong opportunity to travel as this role develops, as well as opportunities to move into a more client facing position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Desk based research e.g. into demographics or populations and GIS market analysis
- Analysis of the tourism market
- Visiting attractions
- Global market analysis
- Occasional telephone based research and face to face interviews
- Conducting statistical analysis
- Potentially some financial analysis as comfort increases
- Bench marking
- Report writing
Requirements:
- A 2:1 or above in a subject with a strong research component e.g. Economics, Psychology, Social Research, Business, Finance etc.
- Excellent writing ability
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Logical mind set
- Some experience with Excel would be an advantage
- Any experience or internships within a research or consultative environment would be a bonus
- An interest in both entertainment and leisure, as well as real-estate would be highly beneficial but not a prerequisite
