An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRICS-qualified surveyor to join the property team of a major UK retail business with a nationally recognised store portfolio across the UK & Ireland. This role would suit an individual with a strong background in lease advisory/landlord & tenant matters and retail estate management who is looking to move into, or further develop within, an in-house environment.
Working closely with an experienced and highly regarded leadership team, you will play a key role in driving value and profitability across a substantial leased portfolio of retail stores. This is not an acquisition-focused role. Instead, the position centres on lease negotiations and driving cost-saving exercises.
Key Responsibilities- Lead negotiations on Lease renewals, Rent reviews, Regears, Lease restructures
- Support the delivery of the wider property strategy across the UK & Ireland portfolio
- Work closely with finance teams to assess store profitability and commercial performance
- Manage relationships with landlords, agents and external consultants
- Liaise with legal teams to ensure transactions are completed efficiently
- Support wider property management and service charge processes
- Collaborate with internal teams, including shopfitting and operations
- MRICS qualified
- Ideally 3-5+ years PQE
- Background in retail, commercial property or lease advisory
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
- Collaborative and team-oriented personality
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced retail environment
- Full UK driving licence required
- £70,000-£80,000 basic salary + car allowance
