About the Role
Job Title: Property Accountant – 12 Month FTC (Immediate Start or Short Notice)
Location: London
Cobalt are working with a leading real estate company to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Property Accountant to join their team based in London. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract , perfect for someone who is immediately available or on short notice.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage property accounting for a diverse portfolio of real estate assets
• Prepare service charge budgets, reconciliations, and year-end statements
• Monitor and report on property financial performance and variances
• Liaise with property managers and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable process for the property portfolio
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with relevant property and accounting regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience in property accounting, ideally within real estate
• Strong background in service charge accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in property management accounting systems (Qube system experience is desirable but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualification (desirable, but not essential)
• Junior candidates with relevant experience in service charge accounting who are eager to learn will also be considered.
