Cobalt is partnering with a client who are looking for an experienced rural property professional to join a highly regarded land and estates team managing a diverse portfolio across the North West. This is a broad and commercially focused role offering exposure to agricultural, residential and strategic land interests, with the opportunity to play a key part in shaping long-term asset strategy whilst managing day-to-day estate operations.
You will be responsible for the management and optimisation of a substantial mixed-use land portfolio, ensuring assets are professionally managed, income is maximised and opportunities for long-term value creation are identified and delivered.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing agricultural holdings, farm business tenancies and residential property interests
- Leading rent reviews, lease events, renewals and tenant negotiations
- Handling landlord and tenant matters and estate management issues
- Managing health & safety, compliance and property inspections
- Overseeing external agents, consultants and contractors
- Resolving land ownership, boundary, access and title matters
- Supporting strategic asset management initiatives and development readiness
- Building strong relationships with tenants, stakeholders and local authorities
- Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practice across the portfolio
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:
- MRICS and/or FAAV qualification
- Approximately 5+ years' post-qualified experience
- Strong rural estate management and agricultural property experience
- Excellent knowledge of agricultural tenancies, landlord and tenant matters and UK property legislation
- Experience leading rent reviews and tenant negotiations independently
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance short-term income generation against long-term asset value
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to work autonomously and make informed decisions
