Cobalt are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading commercial office and property investment brand in London. This is a client-side position, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and day-to-day operation of a portfolio of commercial office properties. You'll also be responsible for managing a team of Maintenance Operatives, ensuring the portfolio is maintained to a high standard and any issues are dealt with efficiently.
The role:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of a portfolio of commercial office properties
- Manage, support and coordinate a team of Maintenance Operatives
- Ensure planned and reactive maintenance is completed effectively
- Carry out regular site inspections and identify maintenance requirements
- Coordinate contractors and specialist suppliers when required
- Monitor the quality and completion of maintenance works
- Ensure health & safety procedures and company standards are maintained across the portfolio
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, occupiers and contractors
- Take ownership of maintenance issues through to resolution
- Support the wider property and facilities team with the smooth operation of the portfolio
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Maintenance Operative or similar position
- Experience within commercial offices or a similar property environment
- Strong general building maintenance knowledge
- Previous experience supervising or managing maintenance staff
- Comfortable working across multiple properties and managing competing priorities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem solving
- Someone who takes pride in delivering high standards across their buildings
