Our client, a leading multi‑site hospitality organisation, is seeking a talented finance professional to join their expanding finance team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this pivotal role focuses on financial management, planning, and control of capital expenditure across the group. You will work cross‑functionally with Finance, Property, Operations and external stakeholders to deliver robust investment analysis, ensure value‑for‑money decisions, and provide insight to support strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Planning & Forecasting – prepare & consolidate annual capex budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develop detailed financial models and business cases, including NPV, IRR, and payback analyses, to support investment proposals.
- Performance Monitoring – track & report on project spend versus budget, producing monthly capex performance packs and ROI metrics.
- Business Partnering – act as a key finance partner to Property, Estates, and Operations, providing commercial insight on contracts, build costs, and procurement.
- Governance & Control – maintain & enhance approval processes, ensuring compliance with policies and supporting audit reviews on capital projects.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong financial modelling & analytical skills with advanced Excel; Power BI experience advantageous.
- Proven experience managing & reporting on capex projects in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Confident communicator with excellent business partnering skills and ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of IFRS/UK GAAP and fixed‑asset accounting principles.
- Experience in a real‑estate or asset‑intensive business (e.g. education, hospitality, healthcare, retail) preferred.
