Cobalt is partnering with a large and expanding residential real estate platform to hire a Finance Manager into its operational finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role overseeing the day-to-day finance operations across a substantial operational residential portfolio.
The position has end-to-end ownership of tenant billing, income control, reconciliations and ledger management, while managing a team of three Accounts Assistants. The role sits at the centre of the operational finance function and will work closely with leasing, tenancy progression and property management teams to ensure billing accuracy, strong cash control and smooth tenant finance operations across the portfolio.
- Ownership of the monthly residential billing cycle including rent, deposits, reservation fees and ad hoc charges
- Oversight of tenant ledgers, cash allocation and reconciliations across the portfolio
- Responsibility for bank reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items
- Leading and developing a team of 3 Accounts Assistants
- Acting as the key finance contact for leasing, tenancy progression and operations teams
- Supporting operational finance improvements, systems enhancements and process streamlining initiatives
- Supporting implementation of evolving regulatory requirements across the residential sector
Previous experience within residential property, BTR, PBSA or operational real estate finance is required. A strong understanding of tenant billing, arrears, reconciliations and income control is essential, along with experience managing or supervising finance teams. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a high-volume, deadline-driven finance environment and possess strong Excel skills.
