A specialist European hospitality investment management firm is seeking an Associate to join its growing team, supporting the active management and value creation of a pan-European hotel portfolio, whilst also contributing to investment and acquisition initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded hospitality real estate professional looking to take ownership of assets and play a key role in business plan execution, operational performance and investment decision-making. Working closely with senior members of the business, the successful individual will gain broad exposure across asset management, acquisitions and portfolio strategy within a highly entrepreneurial investment platform.
The successful candidate will combine strong financial and commercial acumen with an excellent understanding of hotel operations and performance drivers. They should be comfortable presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and confident working with operators, advisors and investment partners across Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Support the asset management of a pan-European hotel portfolio, monitoring operational and financial performance against approved business plans.
- Analyse hotel operating performance, reviewing KPIs including occupancy, to identify opportunities for value creation.
- Support capex programmes, repositioning initiatives and operational improvement strategies across the portfolio.
- Build and maintain financial models supporting asset management initiatives, business plans and investment opportunities.
- Work closely with hotel operators to challenge budgets, forecasts and operational initiatives, ensuring assets are performing in line with investment objectives.
- Assist with acquisitions, underwriting new opportunities, conducting due diligence and preparing Investment Committee materials.
- Produce portfolio reporting, market analysis and strategic recommendations for senior management and capital partners.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including operators, consultants, valuers and lenders across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Support ESG, business planning and portfolio optimisation initiatives where appropriate.
- Previous experience within hotel asset management, hotel investment, hotel advisory or hospitality real estate.
- Strong understanding of hotel operating metrics and financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L analysis.
- Hospitality academic background and direct hotel sector experience strongly preferred.
- Confident financial modeller with excellent Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across owners, operators and advisors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in multiple European languages is needed.
