Cobalt is working with a leading UK property consultancy looking to appoint a Director to join its established Valuation team in London. This is a senior opportunity within a well established team advising a broad client base across London and the Home Counties, undertaking single asset and portfolio valuations across the full spectrum of commercial real estate. The RoleWorking closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the continued development and growth of the Commercial Valuation business. Leading and delivering commercial property valuations and valuation appraisals across a broad range of asset classes. Working on both single assets and larger portfolios throughout London and the Home Counties. Undertaking valuations primarily for loan security and financial reporting/balance sheet purposes. Identifying new business opportunities and helping grow the team's client base and fee income. Reviewing work and maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and professional reporting. The CandidateWe are looking to speak with experienced commercial valuation professionals who can combine strong technical capability with client-facing and leadership skills. A strong background in UK commercial property valuation. Experience undertaking valuations for loan security and/or financial reporting purposes. Exposure to a variety of commercial property sectors. A commercial mindset with an interest in business development and growing client relationships. Experience using Argus, KEL or similar valuation software. Strong written communication and report-writing skills. You will have the opportunity to lead client relationships, influence the direction of the team, develop junior talent, and play an active role in growing the business, while continuing to work on a broad range of commercial valuation instructions. The business is particularly interested in individuals who can bring strong technical credibility alongside a commercial approach to clients and business development.
