The Role
As Client Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the administration of CIS processes while delivering an exceptional service to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of client accounts and overseeing day-to-day financial transactions
- Performing reconciliations and ensuring accurate management of client funds
- Processing payment runs in line with contractual requirements and deadlines
- Administering CIS processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Allocating cash receipts and resolving account queries
- Preparing monthly client accounts and financial reports
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects and wider team initiatives
About You
We're looking for an organised and proactive finance professional who is confident managing client accounts and has a strong understanding of CIS. To be considered, you'll have:
- Previous experience as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or in a similar finance role within the real estate sector
- Essential: Previous experience working with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
- Experience managing client portfolios and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- A solid understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting and financial controls
- Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
