The client is open to appointing at a range of levels, from Senior Surveyor through to Associate Director.
The level of appointment will reflect the successful candidate's technical experience, client relationships and ability to contribute to the growth of the team.
At every level, this is an opportunity to take ownership of technical valuation and viability work rather than operating in a predominantly supporting role.
You will advise clients directly, lead instructions and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
The Organisation Our client is a real estate consultancy advising across development, regeneration and valuation.
Its work spans both public and private sector clients, including major residential-led and mixed-use projects.

The successful candidate will join a growing team, with the opportunity to strengthen its affordable housing and development valuation advisory capability.
The organisation operates a hybrid working policy, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
The Role and Responsibilities You will take a hands-on role across affordable housing valuation, development consultancy and viability work.
The scope of leadership, client development and business development responsibilities will increase depending on the level of appointment.
Responsibilities will include:* Leading financial viability assessments for residential-led and mixed-use developments.* Undertaking technical affordable housing valuations and providing clear valuation advice to clients.* Advising on affordable housing and Section 106 matters.* Providing commercial and viability advice on major residential-led, mixed-use and regeneration projects.* Advising developers and landowners throughout feasibility, design and planning.* Producing Red Book valuation reports where required.* Supporting clients through planning and viability negotiations, with a focus on commercially deliverable outcomes.* Leading client instructions and coordinating input from multidisciplinary teams.
The successful candidate will join a team with developing junior talent, creating an opportunity to share technical expertise and support colleagues as the team expands.
The Skills and Requirements Direct affordable housing valuation experience is central to this appointment.
Cobalt is particularly interested in candidates who have developed their technical expertise within a consultancy environment and can demonstrate ownership of valuation work and client advice.
You should bring:* MRICS qualification.* Registered Valuer status or extensive experience where valuation forms a central part of your work.* Strong working knowledge of affordable housing valuation and the ability to translate affordable housing requirements into technical valuation advice.* Strong working knowledge of development appraisal, viability and valuation.* Working knowledge of residential, mixed-use and affordable housing markets.* Strong Argus Developer and Excel modelling capability.* Experience producing technical valuations and Red Book reporting.* Experience working on major regeneration or development projects.* The ability to lead instructions and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.* Confident written reporting, negotiation and client management skills.* Experience advising both public and private sector clients.
Candidates being considered at Associate Director level should additionally be able to demonstrate client development, fee generation, tenders and work-winning capability.
The consultancy is deliberately keeping the level of this appointment flexible.
Whether you are a Senior Surveyor ready for greater ownership, an established Associate looking for progression, or an Associate Director who can bring leadership and client relationships, the priority is finding someone with credible affordable housing valuation expertise who can add strength to the team.
Interviews are expected to progress quickly, so apply now to be considered at an early stage.
