Job Description

Freelance Site Manager - Education Refurbishment Project - Liverpool We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee an education refurbishment project in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering refurbishment projects safely, on programme, and to a high standard, ideally within live educational environments.

Type: Freelance Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day running of the site.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades.

Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Liaise with the client, design team, and Contracts Manager.

Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.

Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and keep accurate site records.

Manage deliveries, logistics, and programme compliance.

Essential Requirements Proven experience managing education refurbishment projects.

Experience overseeing structural steelwork.

Valid SMSTS.

Valid CSCS Card.

Valid First Aid at Work certificate.

Valid Fire Marshal certificate.

Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 2 years.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Strong understanding of current health & safety legislation.
