Ready to take more ownership of your direction and better utilise your town planning experience and client network to be highly rewarded in a lucrative Director (or Associate Director) level role?
Cobalt are thrilled to be partnered with an agile and forward-thinking town planning consultancy, with an ambitious business plan to expand over the coming years, offering up an excellent bonus scheme for OTE and possible equity after two years. With a highly successful and lean team, working on a flexible basis across the UK and Ireland, they are keen to hire a number of fee-generating Directors (or Associate Directors), starting with a key hire in early 2026, in the form of this role.
With inspiring leadership, a genuine care for their clients and team, they have a unique way of working with and charging clients, attached to an enviable commission scheme. In addition to this, their “work from anywhere” policy means that if you are not close to one of their offices, this is no issue, and they are happy to extend the network to either starting a new office, or having you do a weekly or bi-weekly visit to see the wider team and enjoy their fabulous offices.
Your role will include:
- Fee generation to provide work for you and your future team.
- Business development through networking, bringing your own business and expanding your network and to new pastures, if appropriate.
- Servicing work for clients, whether that be through development management or strategic planning advisory work, and anything they might need assistance with.
- Managing, mentoring and supporting RTPI APC for future team.
You will ideally:
- Have a loyal client following.
- Have at least eight years in town planning within the UK, with much in consultancy.
- Have excellent communication and written skills.
- Be a strong team player.
You will be genuinely rewarded here, with an excellent team around you, and this is an unrivalled opportunity for someone who might be looking to start on their own, but relish the chance to have the infrastructure of an existing successful business around you.
Please apply here or give me (Tom) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible – so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.
If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
