Here at Cobalt, we are partnering with a highly regarded independent development consultancy with a long-standing reputation across regeneration, development advisory and strategic real estate consultancy. Known for their commercially minded approach, collaborative culture and strong public/private sector relationships, they advise on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile regeneration and development projects.

Due to continued growth within their London team, they are seeking to appoint a Senior to Principal level Development Consultant to play a key role in delivering major advisory and regeneration instructions. This is an opportunity to join a specialist consultancy environment where individuals are given genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and the chance to work across a broad mix of development, viability and regeneration projects from an early stage.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on large-scale regeneration and development schemes
  • Undertaking development appraisals and financial modelling
  • Providing strategic development consultancy advice
  • Supporting public and private sector clients through complex development challenges

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on complex regeneration and development projects across London and the wider South East
  • Undertaking development appraisals, financial modelling and viability assessments
  • Supporting on regeneration strategies, development frameworks and delivery advice
  • Working closely with public sector bodies, developers, housing providers and wider stakeholder groups
  • Preparing reports, presentations and strategic advisory documentation for clients
  • Supporting on disposals, acquisitions and development consultancy instructions
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development activity
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified Surveyor
  • Experience within development consultancy, regeneration or development surveying
  • Strong understanding of the UK development and housing market
  • Experience undertaking development appraisals and viability work
  • Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in regeneration and development
  • Ambitious, collaborative and motivated to progress within a growing consultancy environment
  • Experience using Argus Developer would be advantageous
