Our client, a market leading real estate advisory firm, is expanding its residential development consultancy. The team provides expert advice to both public and private sector clients, delivering a wide range of services including development agency, viability assessments, market analysis, and strategic consultancy. Working closely with internal commercial, planning, and agency teams, the team advises public and private sector clients on development agency, viability, and consultancy matters, with a focus on major mixed-use schemes and sectors such as PBSA, Build-to-Rent, and Co-living.

They are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Development Surveyor with experience in residential or mixed-use development consultancy. The role offers hands-on client exposure, involvement in high-profile projects, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with commercial, planning, and agency teams. Ideal for someone looking to develop within a market-leading Living platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support client delivery across development consultancy, agency, and viability work
  • Act as a main point of contact for clients, providing updates and technical advice
  • Prepare appraisals, reports, and support pitches and presentations
  • Manage budgets, billing, and project profitability
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants
  • Contribute to team business development and profile-raising activities
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a strong team culture
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree-qualified (Real Estate or related field)
  • MRICS qualified (or working towards)
  • Background in general practice with a focus on development or agency
  • Strong understanding of viability, planning (S106/CIL), and development appraisal
  • Knowledge of PBSA, BTR, Co-living, and wider Living sectors
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical, commercial, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Argus Developer, Excel, and other relevant software
