Are you a Development Engineer looking for the opportunity to take ownership across multiple residential developments with an established developer? Due to the current postholder relocating, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Development Engineer to join a close knit technical team based near Dartford easily accessible, supporting residential developments across Kent and Sussex.

This is a genuinely hands on role where you'll work closely with the Technical Manager, taking responsibility for coordinating engineering packages from land acquisition through to construction, whilst liaising with consultants, local authorities and highways to keep developments moving.

The Role

  • Coordinating structural and civil engineering packages alongside architects and consultants
  • Advising on technical constraints and engineering considerations
  • Managing Section 38, Section 104 and related highway and drainage agreements
  • Preparing and managing tenders for roads, sewers and enabling works
  • Liaising with local authorities, statutory bodies and utility providers
  • Reviewing technical reports and identifying practical, cost effective engineering solutions
  • Supporting multiple residential developments across Kent and Sussex through the technical stages.

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Ideally you'll have experience working for a residential developer or housebuilder and be confident managing multiple live developments simultaneously. You'll have a commercial mindset, understand economical design solutions and enjoy taking ownership rather than requiring constant supervision. Experience with Section 38, Section 104 agreements, highways, drainage and residential infrastructure is highly desirable.
