Service Charge / Property Manager (Commercial Property)

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Property Surveyor or Service Charge professional to join a well-established property business.

This role would suit candidates from Commercial Property Management, Service Charge Management, Property Surveying, Lease Advisory or Service Charge Accounting backgrounds who have a strong understanding of commercial property operations, lease obligations and service charge processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse service charge budgets, reconciliations and supporting expenditure.
  • Assess lease provisions relating to service charge recoverability and landlord obligations.
  • Investigate and resolve service charge queries and discrepancies.
  • Liaise with managing agents, landlords, surveyors and other stakeholders regarding service charge matters.
  • Review financial and property documentation to ensure compliance with lease terms and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations based on findings and analysis.
  • Support a range of commercial property portfolios across office, retail and mixed-use assets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within Commercial Property Management, Property Surveying, Service Charge Management or Service Charge Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of commercial leases and service charge administration.
  • Experience reviewing service charge budgets and year-end reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant matters.
  • Familiarity with RICS Service Charge Professional Standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • MRICS qualification advantageous but not essential.
