Overview
In this Senior Estates Manager role, you will lead and shape the estates function for a substantial national property portfolio. You’ll partner with the Property Director to develop strategy, build the team, and influence long-term decisions across stores, relocations, renewals, and landlord relationships. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, offering high visibility and the chance to impact the retailer’s future estate footprint. Hybrid working with a couple of office days each week complements a dynamic, influential position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the estates team
- Shape portfolio strategy and identify risks and opportunities
- Lead complex lease renewals, re-gears and other lease events
- Assess stores for retention, relocation, closure or lease extension
- Build strategic relationships with major landlords
- Provide commercially focused recommendations to senior leadership
- Collaborate with acquisitions, development, operations and finance
Key requirements

- Previous leadership experience
- Strategic operating capability while remaining hands-on
- Retail experience is advantageous but not essential; experience from leisure or multi-site property environments considered
