We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a social housing fire safety project, managing both internal and external works.Start Date: 5th October 2026Project Duration: Until December 2027Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmEmployment: Freelance / ContractThis is a long-term freelance opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who can take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management of site operationsOverseeing fire safety and fire remediation worksManaging internal and external work packagesManaging and coordinating subcontractorsEnsuring works are completed in line with programme and quality requirementsMaintaining high health & safety standards across the siteCarrying out site inspections and maintaining site recordsLiaising with residents, subcontractors, client representatives and other stakeholdersManaging RAMS, permits, inductions and toolbox talksMonitoring progress and reporting against programmeMaintaining accurate records and completing required reports using company IT systemsEnsuring disruption to residents is kept to a minimumEssential RequirementsSMSTSCSCS CardFirst Aid at WorkPrevious Site Management experienceExperience within social housing / occupied propertiesExperience managing fire safety, fire remediation or compliance worksExperience managing both internal and external worksStrong health & safety knowledgeStrong communication and organisational skillsGood IT skills - confident using email, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and site/project management systemsExperience managing fire doors, compartmentation, passive fire protection, external remediation and similar fire compliance works would be advantageous.We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Site Manager who is comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the project.
