An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Town Planner to join a well-established and highly regarded planning consultancy in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of high-profile projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration sectors, supporting major developments throughout the UK.
The Role
- Managing a diverse portfolio of planning projects from inception through to completion.
- Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and strategic planning representations.
- Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients.
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to a collaborative working environment.
- Attending client meetings, public consultations and planning committees where required.
- Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
- RTPI Chartered status (MRTPI).
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy or private sector environment.
- Strong background delivering residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration projects.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
- Strong report writing, communication and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial awareness and strong client-facing abilities.
