A leading UK residential developer and Build to Rent operator is looking to appoint a Quality Co-ordinator to join their growing North East team. The business delivers high-quality new build housing and apartment communities across the UK, creating long-term sustainable neighbourhoods for residents. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional with strong residential construction knowledge to support projects through build, handover and defects.
The Role
As Quality Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards across multiple live residential construction sites, ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out regular site inspections across new build residential developments
- Checking works against construction stage drawings and specifications
- Measuring and quality checking building materials
- Identifying defects and quality issues and working with contractors to resolve them
- Monitoring progress and reporting to internal teams and delivery partners
- Maintaining detailed site records including photographs, reports and measurements
- Managing Defects Liability Period inspections and follow-ups through to completion
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological standards
- Supporting residents during the post-completion defects period in a professional manner
Candidate Requirements
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience in residential construction (essential)
- Strong background in new build housing, apartment developments, refurbishments or wider housing projects
- Experience in quality assurance, clerk of works, site inspection or similar roles
- Knowledge of fire stopping details and building compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
