Associate – Portfolio & Investment Manager (Real Estate)

About the Role

  • I am recruiting for a real estate investment manager with exceptional capital and Central London assets, in their search for an Associate.
  • This Associate will have a pivotal head-office role, responsible for strategic decision making and financial appraisals of investment and asset management decision making.
  • In terms of breadth of asset class types, geographies, the scope of investment, development and asset management strategies employed – the successful candidate will have unparalleled exposure.
  • Utilising extensive and flexible sources of discretionary capital, this client has been able to purchase extensive properties since establishing themselves nearly 20 years ago – and this also includes prestigious central London and European assets.

The Key Duties Will Include:

  • Working within a boutique team, supporting the Head of European Real Estate and Associate Director on investment and asset management decision making across the portfolio.
  • With the support of an Analyst, producing detailed financial modelling and concise memorandums to advise the investors on decision-making
  • Work effectively in a lean but highly collaborative team with responsible for an extensive and diverse AUM. In this role, you will have an unparalleled breadth of experience and coverage in terms of range of assets and geographies covered
  • Working closely with the Asset Management arm of the business, producing appraisals to benchmark the success and direction of value-add strategies across the portfolio.
  • Produce presentations to rationalise and promote strategic decision-making to investors. A candidate who is visually-minded is especially useful.

The Candidate Will Likely Possess:

  • Numerical, skilled at producing appraisals particularly in relation to optimising Asset Management strategies
  • Property expertise, either possessing MRICS or via their experience in a property role to date
  • Able to offer direction to Analysts within the team, and report accurately both to internal Management and the Investor base
  • Skilled with use of concise presentations and memorandums for Investors. But just as importantly, the calmness and patience to understand and resolve investor questions.
