We are looking for an experienced Senior Arborist to support and deliver arboricultural services across a range of infrastructure, highways and housing projects within both the public and private sectors. You will provide expert advice, undertake surveys and inspections, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation. Remote working including site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out arboricultural surveys, inspections and assessments in line with BS5837 and best practice
- Produce clear arboricultural reports, constraints plans and method statements
- Provide on-site support and guidance to project teams and contractors
- Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and stakeholders
- Support planning applications, tree protection strategies and site monitoring
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including TPOs and Conservation Areas
- Assist in mentoring junior team members and supporting wider team delivery
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Arborist / Arboricultural Consultant at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of BS5837, tree legislation, and arboricultural best practice
- Confident completing surveys and writing technical reports
- Experience working on infrastructure / highways / housing developments
- Professional qualification in Arboriculture (Level 3+ desirable)
- Full UK driving licence

- Membership of Arboricultural Association (or working towards)
- LANTRA / NPTC certifications (where applicable)
- Experience of working with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Familiarity with public sector frameworks and compliance requirements
