As a Senior Accounts Payable, you will be an integral part of the finance function, supporting the smooth running of the accounts payable process for the company's real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume invoices and ensure proper approvals are in place before payment.
- Liaise with property managers, contractors, and vendors to resolve any issues regarding payments.
- Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including the timely payment of suppliers and contractors.
- Review and approve payment runs, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable to the general ledger.
- Assist with month-end close processes and report to senior management on AP-related matters.
- Improve processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad-hoc reporting and project work as required.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally within a property or investment environment.
- Strong understanding of property management and vendor relations.
- Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, SAP, MRI).
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in a senior accounts payable role, or with a supervisory element.
- Exposure to international transactions or multi-currency payments.
- Experience with property management accounting systems.
