Cobalt is working with an established residential developer to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for a new-build residential scheme in the Home Counties.

This is an opportunity to join an experienced construction team and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the development. Working closely with the Site Manager, you'll help ensure the site is progressing in line with programme while maintaining high standards across quality, health & safety and customer service.
The role would suit someone who already has experience within residential construction or housebuilding and is looking to continue developing their site management career.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll assist with managing the development through to completion, helping to ensure programme, quality and cost targets are achieved.
You'll be involved in the day-to-day coordination of the site, working with subcontractors, trades, direct labour and the wider construction team to keep the build programme moving.
As you develop within the role, you'll also be expected to take on additional responsibility and deputise for the Site Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management and delivery of the development
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, direct labour and materials in line with the build programme
- Monitor progress on site and help ensure key programme dates and targets are achieved
- Ensure work is completed to the required quality standards
- Help maintain high standards of health & safety across the development
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in line xgikmsk with programme
- Support the management and direction of the on-site construction team
- Ensure the site team has clear priorities and the resources required to deliver their responsibilities
- Work alongside the Sales team and attend regular Sales/Build meetings
- Ensure relevant Sales/Build procedures are followed
- Carry out inspections of show homes and support the preparation of homes for customers
