Site Manager - November in London

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the fit-out of a brand-new dementia care unit within an existing hospital.

The project involves a full internal refurbishment and fit-out, including strip-out, electrical and mechanical installations, joinery, flooring and decoration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors.

• Managing the programme of works to ensure deadlines are met.

• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.

• Maintaining health and safety standards and site compliance.

• Coordinating multiple trades, including M&E, joinery, flooring and decorating.

• Liaising with the project team and providing regular progress updates.

• Managing works within a live hospital environment, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.

• Previous experience working within live healthcare or hospital environments would be highly advantageous.

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.

• Strong knowledge of M&E coordination and internal fit-out works.

• Excellent organisational, communication and subcontractor management skills.

• Ability to manage a project independently and maintain programme deadlines.

The Opportunity:

This is a freelance position starting 9th November 2026, with works expected to continue through to March 2027.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Manager with a strong fit-out background who can take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the project.
