Cobalt is working with a residential operator to recruit a Senior Resident Experience Assistant for a build-to-rent development in West London.

This is a highly resident-facing position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people.

You'll work closely with the General Manager to build relationships with residents, create a positive community and ensure they receive a high standard of service throughout their time at the development.

The organisation

The development is focused on creating a community rather than simply providing somewhere to live.

Resident engagement is central to the operation, with events, regular communication and day-to-day interaction all contributing to the experience.

You'll join an on-site team where you'll have regular contact with residents and the opportunity to make a visible difference to how the community feels.

The role and responsibilities

Working closely with the General Manager, the Senior Resident Experience Assistant will help manage the day-to-day resident experience and act as a key point of contact for residents and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Building relationships with residents and creating an approachable on-site presence.
  • Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day delivery of resident services.
  • Organising and hosting resident events, meet-and-greets and community initiatives.
  • Responding to rental enquiries, conducting viewings and supporting the applicant process.
  • Ensuring apartments and amenity spaces are presented to a high standard.
  • Coordinating resident maintenance requests and contractor appointments.
  • Completing check-ins, check-outs and mid-term inspections.
  • Keeping residents informed through appropriate communication channels.
  • Working with the wider team to maintain health and safety requirements across the development.

The Senior Resident Experience Assistant will need to be comfortable dealing with different personalities and situations.

This role needs someone who can engage residents, develop trust and remain considered when resolving day-to-day issues.

Skills and requirements

Residential experience is essential for this position, with previous build-to-rent experience particularly desirable.

We're looking for someone who has

  • A working knowledge of residential operations and resident services.
  • Experience delivering a high standard of customer service in a residential environment.
  • The confidence to engage with residents and build effective relationships.
  • An organised approach to managing competing day-to-day priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to make considered decisions when dealing with resident queries or issues.
  • A working knowledge of IT and social media.
  • Experience conducting residential viewings would be beneficial.

Above all, this role needs a people person.

The successful Senior Resident Experience Assistant will enjoy being visible around the development, getting to know residents and helping create an environment where people feel listened to and engaged.

If you have residential experience and want a role where resident relationships are at the centre of what you do, we'd like to hear from you.

Interviews are ongoing, so apply now to be considered.

Due to the volume of applications received, if you don't hear back from us, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.

If you require any adjustments or additional support during the recruitment process for any reason whatsoever, please let your Cobalt consultant know.
