The Role
This position sits within their highways team, supporting the delivery of maintenance and infrastructure schemes across Scotland. The role focuses on monitoring works, verifying contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with contracts and industry standards. You'll have a mix of site-based inspections and office-based reporting, working across a range of road maintenance and infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring highways maintenance and construction works
- Verifying contractor measurements and outputs
- Ensuring compliance with contracts, processes, and standards
- Carrying out site inspections, including H&S (CDM) checks
- Producing reports (measurement, monitoring, monthly/annual)
- Supporting incident and winter maintenance reviews
- Working with asset/data systems (e.g. IRIS)
- Attending meetings with stakeholders and contractors
What we're looking for
- HND, degree, or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- Experience within highways / roads maintenance or construction
- Understanding of measurement and contractor compliance
