An established, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join its growing impact assessment team. This role offers the chance to work on a broad mix of major infrastructure and complex development projects across the UK, within a collaborative and technically strong environment.
You will work closely with planning, engineering and sustainability specialists, supporting clients across the public and private sectors to navigate environmental risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities- Writing environmental reports including EIA screening letters, EIA scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and other environmental reports.
- Reviewing topic reports/inputs for compliance with EIA Regulations and project details.
- Managing environmental assessment workstreams and coordinating technical inputs.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and quality across project outputs.
- Managing programmes, budgets and consultant teams.
- Advising on mitigation, enhancement and environmental management strategies.
- Supporting bids, proposals and wider team growth.
- A relevant environmental degree (postgraduate qualification desirable).
- Professional membership of a recognised institute (chartered status advantageous).
- Strong experience delivering environmental assessments in a consultancy setting.
- Confidence managing projects, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in infrastructure and/or large-scale development projects (desirable).
