We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a programme of education refurbishment projects across Yorkshire during the summer period. This position will involve managing multiple refurbishment schemes simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site teams, subcontractors and client relationships across several live projects at any one time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing multiple education refurbishment projects from pre-start through to completion
  • Managing site teams and subcontractors across several locations
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements and client expectations
  • Monitoring health and safety compliance across all projects
  • Coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors to maintain project delivery
  • Managing project reporting, progress meetings and client communication
  • Identifying and resolving any project risks or programme issues
  • Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the delivery process

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Demonstrable experience delivering education refurbishment projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sites and project teams simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment and fit out works
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
