Working towards your RTPI APC or a recently chartered Town Planner in or near London? As a Planner or Graduate Planner (experience depending) in a town planning consultancy, you could accelerate your development with a greater focus on pure planning versus the path available for those in a property consultancy.
With the support of a well-established and collaborative team based in central London, you would have the opportunity to manage a variety of major projects across the residential and commercial sector, from high profile projects in the RBKC to the latest data centre sites in the UK. You could advise a highly diversified pool of clients, from high-net worth individuals to blue-chip developers to foster a rich client base of your own, as you progress towards a senior position.
Our client regularly reviews performance and is keen to promote and reward their team for collective and individual success. A healthy compensation package is available, including a discretionary performance related bonus and enviable benefits.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing major projects and overseeing smaller development management processes, and assisting senior colleagues on more major developments.
- Cultivating and maintaining client relationships by offering precise advice and effective communication on a regular basis.
- Managing pre-application tasks and guiding planning applications through the development cycle.
- Writing representations to local authorities for potential site promotions.
Ideally, you should possess:
- Minimum 2 years of professional planning experience within consultancy, developer or local planning authority (LPA).
- A strong skill set and expertise in development management.
- Ideally working towards your RTPI APC, recently submitted or MRTPI.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
In return for your dedication, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, ongoing training, and the opportunity to be part of an exceptional team and company that fosters career progression. Here, the focus is on the quality of your work output rather than strict working hours.
