A Manchester-based commercial property management and workplace experience company are looking for a Front of House/Building Manager to join their team. The business helps landlords and occupiers create, manage, and enhance office environments across the North West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for maintenance issues, assessing whether they can be resolved in-house or require a contractor.
  • Proactively identify minor wear-and-tear issues and arrange resolution before they escalate.
  • Ensure building fabric, common areas, amenities and external areas remain in excellent condition through coordination of works.
  • When works require specialist support, coordinate contractors, ensuring safe working, permit control, RAMS checks and high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor performance of cleaning, landscaping, reception and other service providers.
  • Be a visible, friendly, professional presence on site - the first point of contact for tenants.
  • Handle enquiries, maintenance requests and concerns with an exceptional customer-service approach.
  • Support tenant onboarding, move-ins, move-outs and viewings when required.
  • Build strong, trust-based working relationships to maintain retention and satisfaction.
  • Carry out regular H&S checks including fire alarm tests, emergency lighting, weekly building walk-throughs and plant room checks.
  • Maintain accurate logs, compliance records and inspection reports.
  • Ensure the site meets all statutory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Induct contractors and ensure adherence to safe working practices.
  • Keep building documentation up-to-date: compliance records, contractor files, service sheets, asset logs.
  • Report operational performance, maintenance actions and any issues to the Facilities Manager.
  • Order consumables and maintain stock levels to support smooth building operations.
  • Represent the business professionally on-site, reflecting our values of care, quality and credibility.
  • Assist with larger building projects, refurbishments, or tenant events.
  • Be flexible in supporting occasional out-of-hours activities (overtime paid).
  • Provide support to the on-site café during busy periods, working collaboratively as part of the wider team.
  • Assist with general tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operation and a positive customer experience.
  • Take a flexible, team-first approach to support the successful launch and ongoing operation of the café.
