Our client's growing Landscape Architecture team has an exciting opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic Landscape Architects and Senior Landscape Architects to join them, working on a broad range of prestigious landscape projects across the UK. Projects range in scale across sectors including urban regeneration, new town settlements, tall buildings, residential/mixed use greenfield development, commercial, infrastructure and energy/renewable projects at various stages of the planning process and including nationally significant infrastructure projects.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for you to take your career as an experienced landscape architect to the next level, working at the heart of our interdisciplinary teams and providing valued landscape architecture input to projects, ranging from landscape concepts and landscape design to landscape appraisals and assessments. You will share our desire to work with clients and stakeholders to create exceptional places, which provide multiple benefits to people, communities, and the environment.
You will work as part of our collaborative UK Landscape Architecture team, which includes senior colleagues and landscape planning and design specialists in our hub offices of Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London, Reading, Warrington and Edinburgh. These roles can be based in either our Bristol or London offices - with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.
In this role you will provide creative landscape design input with a high standard of technical excellence across projects. You will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders - working collaboratively with Landscape Architects and other discipline colleagues from across our multi-disciplinary teams.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing landscape conceptual, outline and detailed designs and contributing to the creation of environmental mitigation design proposals
- Providing input to fee proposals
- Undertaking field and visual survey work for projects across the UK
- Preparing landscape/townscape and visual appraisals and contributing to impact assessments
- Inputting to or preparing landscape specifications and landscape management plans
About you
You may already be a CMLI or currently be progressing on the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership. Support and mentoring will be provided for P2C development for those that require it.
You will have a track record of relevant experience in a landscape architecture practice or working on landscape projects within a multi-disciplinary consultancy. You will have good knowledge of current UK planning and environmental assessment legislation. You will have the ability to develop designs, write reports, and be confident working with industry software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) or similar software packages.
