We are seeking an experienced Freelance Fit-Out Site Manager to oversee an internal warehouse fit-out project in Leeds. The project includes full internal works such as changing rooms, toilets, reception areas, and associated finishes, managing all trades on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations for a full internal fit-out project
- Oversee and coordinate 15-20 operatives on site
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Maintain regular, proactive communication on site progress
- Review and interpret drawings, ensuring works align with design specifications
- Liaise with architects, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
- Take a hands-on approach to site management (not desk-based)
- Report into the project lead and provide regular updates
- Maintain shared documentation and basic reporting via email and Word
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out projects (ideally similar scope)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Reliable and able to work autonomously on a remote project
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and site-focused approach
