The Opportunity: We are supporting a well-established consulting firm with the appointment of an experienced Financial Accountant on an interim basis. This is a key contract role covering a critical reporting period, supporting year-end, statutory reporting and audit deliverables. The role will suit a technically strong, hands-on qualified accountant who can quickly embed into a fast-paced finance function and deliver to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
- Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS
- Liaison with external auditors and management of audit queries
- Balance sheet reconciliations and control reviews
- Support with technical accounting papers and policy documentation
- Review and improve financial controls and reporting processes
- Partner with wider finance and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting background
- Proven experience delivering statutory accounts and supporting audits
- Confident operating in a contract/interim capacity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
