Cobalt is working with a well-established residential BTR property operator to appoint an Assistant Resident Services Manager for one of its Cardiff-based assets. This is an opportunity for an Assistant Resident Services Manager to join a resident-focused organisation that places customer experience at the centre of everything it does, with clear opportunities for career progression and development.

The successful Assistant Resident Services Manager will support the day-to-day operation of a busy residential community, helping to deliver a positive resident experience while leading a customer-facing team.

The role

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the development.
  • Managing and developing a team of Resident Services Associates.
  • Supporting resident move-ins, move-outs and tenancy administration.
  • Handling resident enquiries and resolving escalated issues.
  • Managing team rotas and ensuring service standards are maintained.
  • Coordinating contractors, maintenance activities and service providers.
  • Supporting health and safety compliance across the asset.
  • Assisting with reporting, operational performance and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Supporting resident engagement activities and community events.
  • Deputising for the Resident Services Manager when required.

The skills needed

  • Working knowledge of residential property operations gained within BTR, PBSA or a similar property environment.
  • Experience working within an on-site property management setting.
  • Experience supervising or supporting a customer-facing team.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to service delivery.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety processes within a property setting.

Working pattern

  • 40 hours per week across 5 days.
  • Three-week rota including some weekends, bank holidays and holiday cover.
  • Week 1: 8am - 5pm.
  • Week 2: 9am - 6pm.
  • Week 3: 11am - 8pm.
