Cobalt is once again delighted to be supporting a well-respected Facilities Management and Project Management Software provider. Due to the business's ambitious growth plans over the course of the next 2 years, where they will be partnering with large-scale retailers and government entities, they are looking for an ambitious and adaptable Bid Manager to help the business achieve its lofty ambitions.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor tender alerts, manage bid portals, and ensure timely responses.
- Lead bid/no-bid discussions, review contracts, and refine bid processes.
- Develop clear bid project plans with defined responsibilities and deadlines.
- Maintain the bid library, draft initial responses using AI tools, and ensure quality control.
- Collaborate with product teams for technical content and marketing for strong visual responses.
- Oversee bid reviews, ensuring alignment with company standards and contract terms.
- Ensure all technical responses are reviewed by the Solutions Director for sign off.
- Review all tenders holistically before they go to the Sales & Marketing Director for sign off and scored against the marking system where relevant.
Role Requirements
- 5+ years in bid management (public & private sector), including 2+ years in SaaS/software bids.
- Strong ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and enforce deadlines.
- Experience drafting bid content and utilising AI (e.g., AutoGen) for content generation.
- Proficiency in M365 (Teams), tender portals, procurement tools, and CRM systems.
- Able to work solo within a sales & marketing-supported environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to craft compelling proposals.
- Able to navigate bid challenges and adjust strategies in a fast-paced SaaS market.
- Self-starter with a meticulous approach to bid accuracy.
