Coba IT are hiring on behalf of a client for an AI Engineer to help drive forward cutting‑edge AI and data‑led transformation within a complex, regulated environment. The Role
- Design, build and optimise data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions that support business‑critical platforms.
- Work across engineering, product, and business teams to turn requirements into intelligent, scalable systems—helping drive modernisation and innovation across large‑scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high‑quality, scalable software and data solutions.
- Build and maintain production‑grade data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and aligned with best practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
- Support AI initiatives, including data preparation and pipeline development for AI/ML use cases.
- Apply testing, CI/CD, and DataOps/MLOps practices to ensure reliability.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, data, and engineering.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in data engineering and building modern data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with tools/frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Understanding of DataOps/MLOps, including CI/CD and data quality management.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads (e.g. embeddings, vector databases, RAG pipelines).
- Ability to work in fast‑paced, regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face or similar.
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Experience with streaming/real‑time data architectures (Kafka, Flink).
- Exposure to data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
