Coba Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave position in a welcoming and supportive primary school located in Kettering. This full-time supply role includes full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, delivery, and marking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, including year group colleagues and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
  • Take part in school events, meetings, and relevant CPD sessions where required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, mark, and assess effectively and independently.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supply teaching.
