Coba Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position at a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Northampton. The role will begin in September 2025 and continue through to February 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full classroom teaching role, including planning, preparation, delivery, and marking in accordance with the national curriculum. You will be joining a supportive team with excellent leadership and a collaborative ethos.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a full-time Year 5 class, ensuring high standards of learning and progress.
  • Plan engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Mark work and provide regular feedback to support pupil development.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Liaise effectively with teaching assistants, senior leaders, and parents/carers.
  • Attend relevant staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 5.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
  • An ability to foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
