Geography Teacher – Bring the World into the Classroom

Locations: Milton Keynes, Brackley, Towcester, Buckingham, South Northamptonshire

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp-to-perm, Fixed-term

Pay: £120 – £200 per day (dependent on experience and role type)

Coba Education partners with a wide range of excellent secondary schools in Milton Keynes, Brackley, Towcester, Buckingham, and the South Northants area, offering both short-term and long-term placements for Geography specialists.

Your Role in the Classroom

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-5 (depending on experience)
  • Create lessons that inspire curiosity about people, places, and environments
  • Adapt quickly to different schools and learning styles
  • Support progress, behaviour, and classroom engagement
  • Ensure continuity of learning when covering for permanent staff

What We\’re Looking For

Must Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a Geography specialism (or strong subject knowledge)
  • Confidence in engaging secondary students in the classroom
  • Two recent professional references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK

Great to Have:

  • At least three terms of experience teaching Geography in UK secondary schools
  • Knowledge of GCSE and/or A-level Geography curriculum
  • Driving licence and access to a car for travelling between schools
