We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northamptonshire who are seeking a qualified SENCO to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week. The Role:

  • Leading on SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Identifying and supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Writing, reviewing and managing EHCPs and SEN support plans
  • Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
  • Providing guidance and support to staff to promote inclusive practice
  • Contributing to safeguarding and pastoral support where required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Has previous experience working as a SENCO in a primary setting
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Is organised, proactive, and confident working collaboratively
