We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northamptonshire who are seeking a qualified SENCO to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week. The Role:
- Leading on SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Identifying and supporting pupils with special educational needs
- Writing, reviewing and managing EHCPs and SEN support plans
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies
- Monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
- Providing guidance and support to staff to promote inclusive practice
- Contributing to safeguarding and pastoral support where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Has previous experience working as a SENCO in a primary setting
- Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Is organised, proactive, and confident working collaboratively
- Is passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
