Coba Education is working with a secondary school in Daventry seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science teacher looking for consistency, supportive leadership, and the chance to make a genuine impact within a well-established department. The school is looking for someone who can engage students, bring Science to life, and contribute positively to school life.

The Role

  • Full-time teaching position
  • Long-term placement with potential for permanence
  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, marking and assessment responsibilities
  • Creating engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Supporting student progress and attainment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for education and student success
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Two recent professional references

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
  • Ability to teach across multiple Science disciplines
  • Experience supporting GCSE classes
