Redditch

Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 7:15am to 4:30pm

We’re currently working with a well-established manufacturing business in Redditch who are looking to recruit an experienced Press Setter / Operator to join their team. This is a busy but well-organised press shop producing metal components for a range of industries. They’re looking for someone who is confident setting machines, understands tooling, and takes pride in keeping production running efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
  • Setting and operating mechanical and/or hydraulic presses
  • Carrying out tool changes and machine set-ups
  • Ensuring machines are running efficiently throughout the shift
  • Completing first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks
  • Working from engineering drawings and production specifications
  • Identifying and resolving basic tooling or machine issues
  • Supporting consistent output and meeting production targets
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience as a Press Setter or Press Operator
  • Experience with progression and/or single-hit tooling
  • Ability to read engineering drawings confidently
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, practical approach with good problem-solving ability
Desirable experience
  • RoSPA Power Press Safety Certificate or equivalent training
  • FLT licence
  • Background in automotive, aerospace or precision engineering
  • Basic machine maintenance or fault-finding experience
