The Role: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be reporting directly to the Technical Director. You’ll play a crucial role in managing full projects, leading dynamic teams, and delivering cutting-edge designs. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation and leadership. To excel in this role, you’ll need: * Strong mechanical engineering background – Ideally, you’ll be qualified to degree level or equivalent, with a deep understanding of mechanical design principles and practices. * Extensive experience in Mechanical Design – A proven track record in creating and refining mechanical systems, with a focus on Sheet Metal Design and ensuring manufacturability throughout the design process. * Expertise in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) – You’ll have solid experience in Design for Manufacturingprinciples, ensuring that designs are practical and cost-effective to produce. You’ll be responsible for driving efficient, high-quality designs from concept to completion. * Comprehensive knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) – You should have a strong understanding of managing Bills of Materials, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth communication between engineering and manufacturing teams. * Proven project leadership – Experience in leading design projects, guiding teams through every stage of the process, from initial concept through to final delivery. You’ll be adept at prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring the successful completion of complex projects. * Software proficiency – You should have experience with CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor, although training will be provided if needed.
