The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading UK manufacturer of fully bespoke, automated special purpose machinery. You’ll be designing innovative, world-class machinery from concept through to completion, working closely with Project, Electrical and Automation teams to deliver highly customised solutions.
The role will involve:
- Full mechanical design of bespoke automated machinery
- Strong focus on sheet metal design
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Contributing to technically challenging, high-quality projects

Due to continued growth and project demand, they are expanding their Mechanical Design team.
The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Mechanically qualified (ideally degree level)
- A strong SolidWorks user
- Experienced in sheet metal design
- Experienced in automated / special purpose machinery (desirable)
- Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- A driver (preferred due to site location)
