Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to develop your career within a growing engineering and manufacturing business? Whether you’re a recent graduate, junior engineer or an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, we’d like to hear from you. We’re working with a well-established engineering manufacturer in Great Yarmouth who are looking to strengthen their Electrical Engineering team and are genuinely flexible on the level of experience they hire.
For someone early in their career, you’ll receive plenty of support, training and exposure to real engineering projects. For a more experienced engineer, there’s scope to take greater ownership of electrical design work and contribute your existing knowledge to technically interesting projects.
The Role
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Projects, Manufacturing and Suppliers, supporting bespoke engineering projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture, installation and operation. Depending on your experience, you’ll be involved in:
- Producing electrical designs and technical drawings
- Creating 2D & 3D drawings using AutoCAD & Inventor
- Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture and delivery
- Producing Bills of Materials and engineering documentation
- Supporting electrical component selection
- Working closely with Project and Manufacturing teams
- Liaising with suppliers on technical requirements
- Maintaining technical documentation and engineering standards
- Supporting continuous improvements across electrical design and engineering
This is a varied, project-led position offering exposure to both electrical design and the wider manufacturing process.
Who Could This Suit?
We’re genuinely open on experience and would be interested in speaking with:
- Electrical Engineering graduates looking for their first industry position
- Engineers who have completed an electrical apprenticeship
- Junior Electrical Engineers looking to develop their design experience
- Electrical CAD / Design Engineers looking for their next step
- Experienced Electrical Design Engineers looking for a new challenge
You don’t need to tick every box. We’re looking for someone with an Electrical Engineering background, a proactive approach and an interest in developing or continuing their career within electrical design. Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar electrical design software would be beneficial, with the level of experience expected naturally depending on where you are in your career.
Salary & Benefits
- £30,000 – £45,000 DOE
- Hybrid working available
- 33 days holiday
- Christmas shutdown included
- 5% matched pension contribution
- Life assurance – 4x salary
- Family private medical insurance available
- Company sick pay scheme
- Strong training and development opportunities
- Genuine long-term career progression
Why Apply?
The biggest advantage of this opportunity is the flexibility. If you’re at the beginning of your career, you’ll join a business willing to train, mentor and develop you. If you’re already experienced, you’ll have the opportunity to take greater ownership and bring your knowledge into a growing engineering team. Either way, you’ll work on real engineering projects from design through to manufacture and delivery, rather than being limited to producing drawings behind a desk.
