This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Assembler to join a well-established engineering manufacturer, working on the build and assembly of complex, high-specification electromechanical machinery. The role is hands-on and varied, involving the assembly, fitting, and integration of mechanical and pneumatic systems to a high standard. You’ll be working on specialist equipment used within a regulated manufacturing environment, where precision and quality are essential.
We are looking for individuals with strong experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, and machine build within a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to electromechanical systems, pneumatics, or special purpose machinery.

The Role:
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical components to tight engineering standards
- Build and integration of complex machinery and sub-assemblies
- Working with pneumatic systems and mechanical drive components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
- Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment
- Supporting machine build from sub-assembly through to final assembly
- Occasional on-site installation support when required
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout build processes
The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or machine build within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and build specifications
- Experience working with pneumatic systems (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with bearings, housings, and mechanical assemblies
- Exposure to electromechanical or special purpose machinery is highly advantageous
- Confident using hand tools and general workshop equipment
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
- Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent) desirable but not essential
